About this Event

As the provision of health care in our society continues to present major challenges, both transportation professionals and health care practitioners will need to explore cooperative models for ensuring that medical care is accessible to all.

The challenge we face in medical transportation is far greater than the management of Medicaid transportation. The challenge is really about preparing our communities for the coming task of ensuring access to medical services for all Americans regardless of the source of payment.

Today more services are provided in outpatient settings than ever before. This trend is sure to accelerate, placing a greater burden and responsibility on our transportation system. We must have a network of medical providers, patients, community leaders, interested citizens, and transportation providers coming together to address these challenges.

You will hear from transportation professionals, health care advocates and researchers on how these challenges are currently being faced. We will count on your voice being added to these discussions, as well.
